Implementation of the 10-Year Strategy on the Social Determinants of Health

Chiefs and Leaders have unanimously approved a groundbreaking resolution, demonstrating historic levels of consensus, to endorse a 10-Year Strategy addressing the Social Determinants of Health. This Strategy mandates the development of an implementation plan by 2024. Leaders are keenly interested in the rollout of this plan, examining its execution with partners and on a regional scale.

Nations will revisit the 10-Year Strategy on an annual basis in order to assess progress, course correct as needed and incorporate emergent priorities

There are multiple opportunities for various engagement between 2023 and 2025, to dialogue on this topic, including regional engagement. The FNHA will work to develop an implementation plan, which will specify expected timelines, deliverables, approach to reporting and engagement priorities that align with commitments in Consensus Paper 2023.
